Over the past 30 years, Grand Marais has become my home. It is here that I overcame my stage fright. It is here that I found my voice as a visual artist. Grand Marais is the only place that Flash Meridian could have come to life. Without Grand Marais, I wouldn't have my children, my career, my friends. You've challenged and inspired me. You've listened to me and hugged me. I am truly grateful.
I look forward to finding out how this new version of me translates to a different place, and what direction my art might take down south.
I'll be in the sand hills, about an hour from the ocean. Maybe we'll see tuna in the branches of southern yellow pines... but I kind of doubt it.
