Don't Liv Me

This is an acrylic wash on full size watercolor paper. I've been trying out some ideas for the show I'm doing this summer at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery. The show will be up July 27 through September 10, and it's called "Dog Show."

Rusted Belvedere

This seems to tell me you can't hold on to the past. Live in the present moment and then let it go, because otherwise it will all turn to rust.

Ham Lake Fire

Ham Lake Fire, May 2007

Ham Lake Fire

During the entire month of May, we experienced a huge forest fire in our county, which spread into Canada. For more details, you can visit our local ISP home page at www.boreal.org or our local newspaper at The Cook County News Herald. But I thought I would post a picture or two here. For all the damage and heartache this fire caused, the photos are dramatic and even, in their own way, beautiful. I think the fire brought out the best in people in many ways.

Rainy, Foggy Day

Just another picture of my new car. A good day for fog lights!

Co Op Mural

For the past four years, the 4th grade at Sawtooth Elementary School has created a mural/mosaic on the side of the Cook County Whole Foods Co Op. The images depict the four seasons, and this year was the final installation, representing a winter night, and it just happened to be Madeline's Fourth Grade class. She designed the owl by the moon. One day I went up to the school and helped place the tiles in the wolf and the rabbit.
